Every bolster is made to order for one boat's coaming. Nothing is pulled off a shelf and trimmed to fit.

This page builds standard coaming bolsters — from $35. That covers anything about 194 square inches and up, which on a 4″-tall bolster is roughly 48″ or longer.

The terms, plainly
- You have two weeks to approve or request changes to your drawing. No response after that and the order is cancelled and refunded in full.
- Cancel before we send your drawing — full refund, no questions.
- Cancel after the drawing but before cutting — full refund less a $30 design fee for the drafting time.
- Once cutting begins the pad exists and is yours alone, so custom orders are final sale from that point.
- Logos are centred and scaled to sit well unless you tell us otherwise. Max upload 10MB.

CUSTOM Aquagrip Coaming Bolsters
AquaGrip Custom Coaming Bolsters are made to order for gunwales and leaning areas that require a precise, professional fit. Each bolster is CNC-cut in-house from 16mm cross-linked PE/EVA blend marine foam, engineered for comfort, impact absorption, and long-term durability in demanding marine environments.
Bolsters are customizable by size, color, and optional upgrades. All coaming bolsters include genuine 3M marine-grade pressure-sensitive adhesive for secure peel-and-stick installation. Optional upgrades include custom logo engraving and an integrated ruler.
For non-standard layouts, tight curves, or multi-panel applications, AquaScan™ is recommended to ensure the most accurate fit.

All custom orders are drawn, and a proof is sent for review prior to production.
All Logos will be centered and scaled to look aesthetically pleasing unless otherwise noted.

Custom Order Shipping & Approval
- Design approval is required before production
- Customers are given up to two (2) weeks to respond with approval or revisions
- Orders with no response after two weeks will be canceled and refunded
- Production begins only after the final approval of the drawing is received
Cancellation Policy
All custom orders include a design and proofing phase before we cut foam. This covers laying out your design, generating a digital proof for your approval, and any revisions you request.
- Cancel before we send a proof — full refund, no fee
- Cancel after proof is sent but before production starts — a $30 non-refundable design fee is deducted from your refund to cover the design time already invested
- Cancel after production starts — custom orders are non-refundable once we've begun cutting foam, since the material cannot be reused
We work hard to make sure every proof is right before you approve, and revisions during the proofing stage are free. If you have any questions about your order or want to discuss changes, just reach out — we'd much rather work with you to get it right than process a cancellation.

We send a drawing for your approval before anything is cut.
Measuring help
Charts, printables and a real person on the other end.
This is the inch between the 1 and the 2 on your tape. Longest line is the inch, then the half, the quarter, the eighth — and the shortest lines of all are the sixteenths. Four of them make a quarter. If your edge lands on the third short line past the 1, that is 1-3/16″. That is the number we want: we cut to the sixteenth and we never round it off.
The size boxes take decimals. Tape measures don’t. Punch your number in below and we’ll do the math.
The radius sheet carries a 3″ check bar up top and a 6″ ruler along the bottom. Measure one before you trust anything else — if it is off, reprint at Scale 100% with “Fit to page” turned off.
Corner Radius Finder
Nested arcs every 1/4″ from 1/4″ out to 6″, with rulers down two edges reading to the eighth. Lay your old pad on the sheet, line the two straight edges up with the blue rules, and read off whichever curve your corner follows.

Find a round object that matches the curve — a can, a roll of tape, a socket — measure straight across it and halve that number. A 2″ can gives you a 1″ radius. Or send a photo with a tape measure laid next to the corner and we’ll read it for you.

Hole Diameter Finder
Concentric circles from 1″ to 4-1/2″ in quarter-inch steps, plus cut-out gauges from 1/4″ to 1″. Cup holders, compasses, shifters, switches, rod holders.

Measure the hole, not the trim ring. The plastic collar on a cup holder is wider than the hole underneath it. Pop it out if you can.
Tell us where it sits, not just how big it is. Distance from the left edge and from the front edge, to the centre of the hole. A perfect 3-1/2″ hole in the wrong spot is still scrap.
Don’t round anything off. If it measures 31-11/16″, send 31-11/16″ — that is exactly what gets cut. Sixteenths are no trouble. Rounding to the nearest inch to keep it tidy is how a pad ends up with a gap down one side.

Measuring the helm
- Trace it first. Lay a piece of cardboard or poster board over the helm, trace the area you want covered, cut it out and test-fit it. Then measure the template flat on a bench. This beats measuring in place every single time.
- Width is left to right as you sit at the wheel. Height is front to back — away from you toward the windshield. Measure both at their widest and deepest points.
- Replacing an old pad? Measure the old pad itself, not the fiberglass around it. If it’s curled or shrunk, say so and we’ll allow for it.
- Corners. Use the Corner Radius tab. If all four match, one number covers it. If the back corners are square and the fronts are round, tell us both.
- Curves and lips. If the surface isn’t flat, or there’s a raised lip the pad has to sit inside, stop and send a photo. That one is worth a phone call.
- Check it twice. Measure, walk away, measure again. If the two don’t agree, the third one settles it.
