AquaScan™ Custom Decking Support
Quick answers to common AquaScan™ questions. For full step-by-step instructions, photos, and videos, visit our dedicated AquaScan™ guide.
What Is AquaScan™?
AquaScan™ is AquagripCT’s custom digital scanning process used to capture exact measurements of your boat’s deck, hatches, and surfaces. This eliminates the need for paper templates and ensures a precise, professional fit for custom EVA foam decking.
AquaScan™ is recommended for full deck kits, complex layouts, and boats where accuracy matters most.
View the full AquaScan™ guide for complete details and visuals.
How does AquaScan™ work?
We send you physical AquaScan™ reference targets along with instructions. You place the targets on your deck, take photos following our guidelines, and submit them to us. We use those images to digitally map your deck and create custom-fit foam pieces.
View the full AquaScan™ guide for complete details and visuals.
Do I need special tools or software?
No. AquaScan™ only requires a phone or camera. No measuring tools, apps, or software are needed.
Is AquaScan™ required for all custom decking orders?
AquaScan™ is required for most fully custom decking projects to ensure accuracy. Some smaller or standard layouts may not require it — if you’re unsure, reach out and we’ll guide you.
What do I receive from Aquagrip for AquaScan™?
You’ll receive:
- AquaScan™ reference targets
- Instructions for placement and photo capture
- Guidance on how to submit your images
All instructions are also available online with photos and videos.
View the full AquaScan™ guide for complete details and visuals.
How accurate is AquaScan™ compared to manual measuring?
AquaScan™ eliminates guesswork by using scaled reference targets and digital mapping, resulting in significantly higher accuracy than manual measurements.
What happens after I submit my AquaScan™ photos?
Once we receive your images, our team maps your deck digitally and begins the design process. You’ll review and approve the layout before production begins.
What if I need help during the AquaScan™ process?
We’re here to help. If you have questions about target placement, photos, or submissions, contact us anytime and we’ll walk you through it.

Ordering & Customization
Guidance for selecting products, requesting custom work, and submitting designs.
What is the difference between stock and custom products?

What types of customization do you offer?
Aquagrip offers customization across many products, including custom sizing, color combinations, routing patterns, logo engraving, and layout adjustments. Custom options vary by product type and intended use.
How do I request a custom product or design?
You can request a custom product by contacting our team directly. Provide details about your boat, intended use, and the product you’re interested in. Photos and measurements are always helpful.

Can I submit my own artwork or logo?
Yes. Customers may submit their own artwork or logos for engraving or design consideration. Vector files (AI, SVG, EPS, or PDF) are preferred for best results, but high-quality image files may also be reviewed.
How do I send artwork, photos, or templates?
Artwork, photos, or templates can be sent via email. For larger files, we may provide an upload link if needed. Please include your order number or project details when submitting files.
Will I see a design proof before production?
Yes. For custom products, you’ll receive a design layout or proof for approval before production begins. Manufacturing does not start until final approval is received.
Can I make changes after approving a design?
Once a design is approved and production has begun, changes may not be possible. If you need to make an adjustment, contact us immediately and we’ll do our best to assist.
I’m not sure what customization I need — can you help?
